The personal track car of the head mechanic for a Tier 1 V8 Supercar team is now for sale. Hand built to exceptional standards, this is the ultimate track toy for an ambitious driver who seeks high power in a light weight chassis. Presented in sleeper mode without decals or branding, this 300kW track car will lap at the front of the fast group outrunning V8 supercars and Porsche cup cars.

Hand built with the highest quality components, the turbo charged 6 cylinder M20B25 BMW engine puts out 300kW@wheels at a sensible 18 bar boost. At 1050kgs with fuel & driver the car will lap Phillip Island at 1.50 and Sandown at 1.18. Set up has been focussed on reliability and if desired there is room for further development. With MoTec M84 engine management with UTC plug in data cable and MDD display, the engine is configurable via laptop with full diagnostics. A Race Chrono GPS lap timer is included with the car.

The Sachs & Koni suspension set up was sourced from a V8 Supercar gives the car exceptional turn in and apex speed to then exit smoothly for fast lap times. Or if you prefer, with progressive power oversteer the car is incredible fun with chassis balance you cannot find in a road car. Chassis control is supported by Ireland Engineering struts tops, strengthened and modified alongside adjustable camber, 16mm & 22mm options for rear swaybars and installation of the super quick E46 steering rack.

The car was specified and built by the former head mechanic for David Reynold’s V8 supercar who is a widely acknowledged BMW expert. This was the car he choose to build in his own time as his personal track car. With attention to detail you will rarely find in any field, every component is of the highest quality. A focus on cooling and reliability for the powerful engine, differential and brakes are coupled with custom designed front air dam and rear wing to give outstanding aero control at speed. Chassis
- 1985 E30 coupe no sunroof with a 6 point steel cage. Rails and shock towers have been stitch welded. Spare wheel well removed and plated.
- Sparco EVO2 seats with brand new 6 Point Pro Racing Quick Release Sparco 3'' harness.
- Main car wiring harness professionally striped back to minimum, no heater box.
- Custom made front bar Kevlar re-enforced fibreglass construction with a plywood flat floor. The mould for this custom front bar is included in the sale.

BMW Turbo Charged M20B25 6-Cylinder Engine
- M20B25 bored to 2600cc, custom forged pistons, balanced and shot peened rods, balanced crank, ARP head studs, Billet rockers, extensively ported head with raised inlet port, gated large volume sump, custom made intake and stainless exhaust manifold.
- Garret ball bearing turbo, tail 60mm external waste gate, custom hand built 3” stainless exhaust with one rear muffler. The car passes 76db days for metro tracks.
- Cooling is via RaceRadiators Radiator, twin engine oil coolers and large PWR intercooler with custom end tanks and boost pipes.
- MoTeC M84 ECU fully enabled with custom Motorsport wiring harnesses and MoTeC MDD display. Includes UTC cable for configuration via laptop.
- Engine dyno at 300kw@wheels with 18psi.

Drive line
- Lightened single mass flywheel, heavy duty pressure plate with Ireland Engineering Solid Centre Racing Clutch Disc.
- Recirculating gearbox breather, short shift gear lever.
- Kazz 1.5way differential centre, differential breather and Tilton differential oil pump and differential cooler.

Suspension
- KONI 2 way adjustable front shocks with adjustable perch and Ireland Engineering strut tops.
- Sachs V8 Supercar 4 way rears shocks setup as coilover.
- Treehouse style front caster eyes and re-enforced engine crossmember.
- Rear arms are modified with spherical inner bearings, outer rod ends with a turn buckle for toe adjustment .
- Solid aluminium bushed and Posi-Lock Style rear arm position adjustment for camber.
- Ireland Engineering adjustable sway bars - 25mm front and 16mm rear. The car is also comes with spare option 22mm rear sway bar.
- BMW E46 steering rack with Woodard steering shaft and unis. BMW electric power steering pump.

Wheels
- Two sets of Team Dynamics 15x7 wheels with custom gold paint.
- The car comes with brand new Yokohama AE050s 205 50 15 and 225 50 15 tyres with zero laps. The second set of wheels has lightly scrubbed AE050s. Both sets purchased from Traction Tyres in Melbourne in last 3 months.

Brakes
- Front brakes Wilwood Dynapro 6A 6piston brakes Calipers, 11.75 Wilwood rotors with custom brake hats. Standard rear with DBA rotors. Braided brake lines and Porterfield racing brake pads.
- E30 M3 brake master cylinder.

Parts provided with the car that are not yet fitted include Wilwood pedal box, moulded side skirts and custom carbon fibre door cards for the E30 coupe.
