The construction of the car commenced in 1968/69 by David Booth and two of his friends and was named the WDC-1, which was a combination of their initials. The car had its first race on 7 March 1971 with an 1100cc engine. This was upgraded to 1300cc where it had its first race on 26 March 1972. In this form the car held the up to 1300 clubman and sports car lap records at Warwick Farm. To qualify for the new clubman class, the engine was upgraded to 1600cc and first raced in this configuration on 1 June 1973. In January 1974 the car was sold to Russell Norden who as per other cars that he owned, changed the name of the car to Arbyen, which was made up from his initials. In 1975 the car was sold to Dale Kendall who successfully raced the car for many years. I bought the car from Dale in 1988 and carried out a complete restoration.

Car has raced at Sandown, Philip Island and Winton and has proven to be very reliable.

It has a Motorsport Australia Historic C of D and log book and is classified as Group Q.
