Unfortunately the time has come where I have to consider moving on my pride & joy as a means to consolidate the toys. I purchased my 1M almost 2 years ago in 100% factory trim, and to say it has been anything less than spectacular is an utter understatement. This 1M has hands-down been the best driving experience I’ve ever had to-date, and has blown all of the ‘hype’ surrounding the car well out of the park.

For those who are aren't familiar with the car, the BMW 1M was a passion project conducted by a small skunkworks team of the BMW M Performance engineers, and had an extremely limited production run of just over a year. They used some of the best bits from the BMW M3 at the time (hence having the same hefty track width, shown by the incredibly wide guards), along with the highest performance variant of the legendary N54 engine and 6 speed manual gearbox, resulting in a car that ended up becoming an instant cult classic - and was in a class of its own in terms of outright performance.

This particular example is currently sitting on ~105,000kms (I purchased it at ~95,000kms) - and is the perfect 1M for those who want to own and drive a car that was made to be driven without a sensation of worry, guilt, and need to preserve (though it has been cared for like a first-born child - and would also suit a collector). It’s a car that has had an impeccable service and maintenance history its entire life, and has been constantly loved, driven, garaged and cared for by BMW/motoring enthusiasts (though it has never seen a race track). All of the above drew me to this particular example 2 years ago, and I truly hope that the next owner will aim to enjoy it just as much as I have.

Whilst an incredible car from the factory, I have added some slight modifications to the car to enhance the driving pleasure, make for a more visceral experience, and bring the car inline with (and even exceed) modern high performance standards. All modifications chosen are of the highest quality, and are only chosen to compliment the already fantastic and capable base. Moreover, all modifications used are completely bolt-on in nature, thus 100% reversible, making this example quite well suited to almost all buyer types. I was not going to reverse the mods myself and try to sell a completely standard car as is so often done with 1M’s and similar cars, instead leaving the option in the buyer’s hands as I will pass on every single stock item (all in fantastic condition) to the next owner also. There are some very minor imperfections (stone chips mainly), but far less than expected with a car that’s ~10 years old.

Modifications are as follows:

- Remus Performance Exhaust System
- Wagner Tuning Catless Downpipes
- Wagner Tuning EVO 1 Performance Intercooler
- Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe
- Turbosmart Kompact Dual Diverter Valves
- BMC High Flow Air Filter (Retains Stock Airbox)
- MHD Tune (~430hp)
- Zieg Carbon Fibre Front Splitter
- Genuine BMW LCI Blackline Tail Lights
- Genuine BMW Front Black Kidney Grilles

For the purpose of pricing, I'd be prepared to let her go for $79,999 (this includes all original parts too). 1M’s do not come up for sale often, especially clean Valencia Orange examples, and whilst I believe the car could be priced higher (given that there’s almost $10,000 worth of tasteful yet easily reversible parts added, along with another example being currently up for sale for double this price) - I also want to be realistic and facilitate an actual sale.

For my asking price I will include a valid Victorian RWC. A full logbook service has just been completed. Any & all inspections are welcomed and encouraged. This car will not disappoint, and is an absolute gem which will make for an incredibly happy future owner.

The car is located in Endeavour Hills VIC (SE suburbs of Melbourne), but am of course happy to facilitate interstate buyers also.

Please feel free to get in touch for any questions. Serious enquiries only please.

Thanks,
Mim
