The AMC Javelin is an American front-engine, rear-wheel-drive, two-door hardtop automobile manufactured by American Motors Corporation (AMC) across two generations, 1968 through 1970 and 1971 through 1974 model years. The 1972 model year Javelins featured a new “egg crate” front grille design with a similar pattern repeated on the chrome overlay over the full-width taillights. The AMX version continued with the flush grille. A total of 15 exterior colours were offered with optional side stripes. This Rambler Javelin is a genuine two owner car and one of only 48 Australian delivered right hand drive examples. The striking yellow colour and the Targa style black vinyl roof go nicely with the tastefully upgraded F90 Simmons wheels. Inside the car is all original except for an upgraded B&M shifter, Auto Meter oil pressure, water temperature, voltage gauge, stereo and fire extinguisher. Under the bonnet is the famous 401 engine with chrome accessories, MSD ignition, Edelbrock inlet manifold and air cleaner. Now available for inspection by appointment at our Kogarah facility.
