1961 Elfin Zephyr Special. No.14 of the first 23 Elfin's ever made. Built by Noel Heard & Gary Cooper using a 2.6 L Zephyr 6 cylinder motor. Noel raced it in the 1961 Grand Prix. Won many hill climb championships, this is a great piece of Australian motor racing history. Noel completely rebuilt the car in 1998. The car has been used very little since. It is logged as a group M car with many photos & trophies. Sadly, Noel Heard is no longer with us but he was a wealth of information about the car

This is a genuine NG Elfin with build plate EP 002 and comes with current log book and COD. It has had extensive development work and is a front running car with top HP engine, weight reduction where allowed and sorted steering and suspension. It comes with 2 sets of wheels and spares include a nose cane, brake drums, trailing arms, distributor, front shocks and assorted items. Wheel alignment bars are also included. Last outing at Phillip Island Festival of Speed qualified 3rd out of 16 cars.

In 2019 the car was refreshed, looked over and motor was rebuilt by the highly regarded Mitsubishi Evolution specialist Nick Ashwin of NA Autosport and Engineering. The invoices for this work total over $30,000. Up for regretable sale is my 325 convertible, I have owned and built this car over the last 14yrs. Don't need to sell, just no time now to use it. What started life as a stock 325 auto convertible is now a 6spd manual, turboed M50 b25 stoker (2.8) with Haltech platinum sport ecu running on E85 making 380rwkw at 20 pound and 440kw at 26 pound.
