This car was built by Paul Trevethan for Mark Johnson and was first Log Booked in November 1998. The original Lotus road car was badly damaged so a Mk.1 Cortina shell was sourced and built to full Lotus specifications and retains the original Lotus identification plates. This is a unique piece of V8 Supercar and Dick Johnson Racing history and has only had two owners after its time at DJR. Originally built as an AU model Ford Falcon V8 Supercar, this car (chassis DJR AU12) was converted to BA bodywork by DJR and became a part of the Bowden Collection of cars before being purchased by its current Queensland-based owner in 2014.
