This car was last raced at Phillip Island in 2016. It qualified 2nd but spun in the wet and hit a guard rail in a side front impact that bent the chassis frame. A new frame was bought and most of the supports radiator elements and cowls were replaced. The car front suspension was not damaged and the wheel alignment is as perfect as it was when the pre-race work and oil changes were done before the event. The Aventador is a car that needs very little (if any) introduction. As the replacement for the Murcielago, which had been a game changer for the brand, the Aventador had to be pretty special. Launched in 2011, the Aventador LP 700-4 was light years ahead of the car it replaced, yet still contained all the ingredients that immediately made it recognisable only as a Lamborghini.
