This Mallock U2 was built under license in New Zealand in 1969 using all the usual components. It raced successfully for 10 years when it was purchased by a prominent racer/constructor as a base for a sports racing car to compete in the SCANZ national sports car championship during the 1980's. It was a very competitive car winning 5 championships and holding lap records at every circuit. This very special Mallock U2 started life in New Zealand racing in the clubman classes until approximately 1978 when it was purchased by a new owner for competing in the SCANZ National sports car championship with the following specifications. 2000 GC8 WRX Rolling Shell, was being built for Tarmac Rally and has a CAMS certified cage. Does not extend to the front towers at this stage, although the strut tops have had cromoly plates added over them and the A pillar to chassis rails have extra bracing. Has sill jack points also. The cage has double diagonal bracing throughout and gussets everywhere. Seat mounts are welded in also. Was a clear title undamaged road car and has been kept indoors since it was pulled off the road in 2014/15.

Road registered club car, just completed. This car was my daily driver up till 2012 when it was put into storage. Interior has been semi stripped (parts kept), motor rebuilt, new clutch, MCA suspension, belts, almost standard just made better.
