1988 VAN DIEMEN FORMULA FORD $48,000 This car chassis number 1249 was the yellow prototype for the 1988 Van Diemen with Allan McNish involved in the development. This Mallock U2 was built under license in New Zealand in 1969 using all the usual components. It raced successfully for 10 years when it was purchased by a prominent racer/constructor as a base for a sports racing car to compete in the SCANZ national sports car championship during the 1980's.
