The Holden Special Vehicles SV5000 was a proper V8 bruiser and was built in very limited numbers (359 in total) between 1989 and 1991. Based on the VN Commodore, the SV5000 started life in Holden’s Elizabeth plant in South Australia before being transferred to the boffins over at HSV, who were located in Notting Hill in Victoria at the time. This very special Mallock U2 started life in New Zealand racing in the clubman classes until approximately 1978 when it was purchased by a new owner for competing in the SCANZ National sports car championship with the following specifications. Lotus twin cam engine, fuel injected and turbocharged producing around 300hp. Alfa 105 5 speed gearbox McLaren M4A front disk and brake calipers.
