The Mercedes-AMG CLK63 Black Series will go down as one of the wildest (and most desirable) factory race homologation series ever produced. The three that stand out the most are the Ferrari Enzo, the Porsche Carrera GT, and the car we present here, the Mercedes-McLaren SLR. A joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren Automotive, the car was conceptualised as an homage to the Mercedes-Benz 300SLR of 1955. 2000 GC8 WRX Rolling Shell, was being built for Tarmac Rally and has a CAMS certified cage. Does not extend to the front towers at this stage, although the strut tops have had cromoly plates added over them and the A pillar to chassis rails have extra bracing. Has sill jack points also. The cage has double diagonal bracing throughout and gussets everywhere. Seat mounts are welded in also. Was a clear title undamaged road car and has been kept indoors since it was pulled off the road in 2014/15.
Road registered club car, just completed. This car was my daily driver up till 2012 when it was put into storage. Interior has been semi stripped (parts kept), motor rebuilt, new clutch, MCA suspension, belts, almost standard just made better.
