This 72 Camaro is a project I started to build for the Australian Tans Am class. It has been caged and had the floor modified to suit the correct gearbox and where the muffler will sit. It has also had the pedal box master cylinders installed. The only thing missing is the 2 front guards. The car will also come with 2 brand new full quarter panels, a fiberglass bonnet, new race seat, pedal box, race fuel tank and brand new limited slip differential from the US. This car was built in 1965 as one of 2 that was run in that years European Formula 2 as works and fitted with the new BRM F2 engine. Some 7 cars were built and Cooper too the deacon to have its cars entered and rob by Ken Tyrrell on behalf of the works. The drivers for that works entry for 1965 were John Surtees, Bob Bondurant and principally Jackie Stewart. This car was predominantly driven by Stewart at all UK and European GP's. Incidentally, Stewart was 1964 Formula 3 Champion at that stage.
