The original Lotus road car was badly damaged so a Mk.1 Cortina shell was sourced and built to full Lotus specifications and retains the original Lotus identification plates. All parts purchased pre covid, parts a lot more expensive now, if even available. Currently in need of paint and assembly, this replica Lotus Cortina has been a log booked racing car since the 1990's under CAMS/Motorsport Australia regs Group Nb/Appendix J. Alloy caged and successfully campainged by several owners. Purchased in 2019, I have undergone a full body and mechanical rebuild. Body was stripped bare and sandblasted.
