1969 Volvo 142S Group N Race Car Fantastic entry into Historic racing. Solid and reliable, exciting and affordable racing. I’ve owned and raced the car since 2018, but a new race car means the Volvo must go. Fresh engine (sealed) put in two meetings ago. Very fast cars for their period and the best brakes in the field. I’ve owned this vehicle for over 20 years and selfishly not done anything with it , time for a full restoration and return to the track after a 50 year absence . Was built in 1966 as Chimaera Mk 3 with BMC B series engine and cigar shaped body and raced by Frank Brewster. Peter Turner bought it in 1967 , renamed it Grantinni and upgraded to a larger capacity B series engine and raced at Templestowe , Calder , Hume Weir and Winton before rebuilding the car in 1969 with new rear bodywork and a Ho
