Third formula 3 built by Ron Tauranack and raced successfully by Jim Sullivan (the driver of the year to Europe 1964) From 65 to 70 owned by Promecon. Then purchase by Fred Opert of the USA, third owner Joe Bosworth raced as a formula Ford for 10 years in USA. Race logbook goes with car. Brought back to Australia and disassembled to rebuild. This car was built in 1965 as one of 2 that was run in that years European Formula 2 as works and fitted with the new BRM F2 engine. Some 7 cars were built and Cooper too the deacon to have its cars entered and rob by Ken Tyrrell on behalf of the works. The drivers for that works entry for 1965 were John Surtees, Bob Bondurant and principally Jackie Stewart. This car was predominantly driven by Stewart at all UK and European GP's. Incidentally, Stewart was 1964 Formula 3 Champion at that stage.
