This car was built by Paul Trevethan for Mark Johnson and was first Log Booked in November 1998. The original Lotus road car was badly damaged so a Mk.1 Cortina shell was sourced and built to full Lotus specifications and retains the original Lotus identification plates. Following an engine bay fire last year the car has had an extensive rebuild with every part checked and/or replaced. 1961 Elfin Zephyr Special. No.14 of the first 23 Elfins ever made. Built by Noel Heard & Gary Cooper using a 2.6 L Zephyr 6 cylinder motor. Noel raced it in the 1961 Grand Prix. Won many hill climb championships, this is a great piece of Australian motor racing history. Noel completely rebuilt the car in 1998. The car has been used very little since. Selling my 2011 Dallara F308 with Neil Brown Engineering Engine. Car was run by T-sport and won the 2012 British F3 National class. Car has run very successfully in the NSW formula race car championship. Engine had under 1000km on it so plenty of life left with rebuilds recommended around 5000km but have seen them up to 7000km. It has had extensive development work and is a front running car with top HP engine, weight reduction where allowed and sorted steering and suspension.
