This is a unique piece of V8 Supercar and Dick Johnson Racing history and has only had two owners after its time at DJR. Originally built as an AU model Ford Falcon V8 Supercar, this car (chassis DJR AU12) was converted to BA bodywork by DJR and became a part of the Bowden Collection of cars before being purchased by its current Queensland-based owner in 2014. Raced by Paul Radisich in Shell Helix colours for DJR as the #18 Falcon during the 2001 (winner of the Perth round of the championship)

I originally bought to run in Improved Production series Full race car from the UK, cost $70k landed and spent another $20k on upgrades. Massive spec, new AIM dash with GPS, new disc’s and pads, Electrical fire extinguisher serviced. T45 Custom cage, CAMs log booked. Air jacks and lance. 11 wheels in total. This car was built in 1965 as one of 2 that was run in that years European Formula 2 as works and fitted with the new BRM F2 engine. Some 7 cars were built and Cooper too the deacon to have its cars entered and rob by Ken Tyrrell on behalf of the works. The drivers for that works entry for 1965 were John Surtees, Bob Bondurant and principally Jackie Stewart. This car was predominantly driven by Stewart at all UK and European GP's. Incidentally, Stewart was 1964 Formula 3 Champion at that stage.
