Muscle Car Warehouse now offer for sale this beautiful Ford XB Falcon 500. Commissioned by the Victorian Police force when it was used as an unmarked highway patrol car until 1977. It was originally ordered with a 351 T code engine (identical to the Falcon GT), FMX automatic transmission and a 9” diff. Further to this this car was also factory fitted with power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, tramp rods and a dual exhaust system. This car is basically a Falcon GT in a Falcon 500 body! Finished

When restored all the GS extras were fitted such as side stripes and wheel caps. Other features include a GT front spoiler, Shaker, bonnet stripes, bonnet locks and driving lights. This car was built by Paul Trevethan for Mark Johnson and was first Log Booked in November 1998. The original Lotus road car was badly damaged so a Mk.1 Cortina shell was sourced and built to full Lotus specifications and retains the original Lotus identification plates. Following an engine bay fire last year the car has had an extensive rebuild with every part checked and/or replaced. It has had extensive development work and is a front running car with top HP engine, weight reduction where allowed and sorted steering and suspension. It comes with 2 sets of wheels and spares include a nose cane, brake drums, trailing arms, distributor, front shocks and assorted items. Wheel alignment bars are also included. Last outing at Phillip Island Festival of Speed qualified 3rd out of 16 cars.
