1961 Elfin Zephyr Special. No.14 of the first 23 Elfin's ever made. Built by Noel Heard & Gary Cooper using a 2.6 L Zephyr 6 cylinder motor. Noel raced it in the 1961 Grand Prix. Won many hill climb championships, this is a great piece of Australian motor racing history. Noel completely rebuilt the car in 1998. The car has been used very little since. It is logged as a group M car with many photos & trophies. Sadly, Noel Heard is no longer with us but he was a wealth of information about the car

Owned this for almost 20 years, car body has around 100 thou on it, the engine was built with bigger cams, stage 2 BC Engine was rebuilt with a triple plate gasket kit throughout, runs E85 1000cc injectors, bigger external fuel pump, brand new hyper gear turbo low mount with steam pipe manifold, straight through 3 inch exhaust with twin blast pipes, five stud conversion with s15 brakes. This is a genuine NG Elfin with build plate EP 002 and comes with current log book and COD. It has had extensive development work and is a front running car with top HP engine, weight reduction where allowed and sorted steering and suspension. It comes with 2 sets of wheels and spares include a nose cane, brake drums, trailing arms, distributor, front shocks and assorted items. Wheel alignment bars are also included. Last outing at Phillip Island Festival of Speed qualified 3rd out of 16 cars.
