The Nota Major was the 29th car produced by the Nota factory in Sydney to the order of Mr. Barrie Garner whose intention was to win the prestigious NSW Hillclimb Championships and he succeeded by winning it in 1962. 1988 VAN DIEMEN FORMULA FORD $48,000 This car chassis number 1249 was the yellow prototype for the 1988 Van Diemen with Allan McNish involved in the development. It was then a works car for Van Diemen in 1988 with the Duckham’s oil yellow and blue livery. The car was raced by Derek Higgins and won the 1988 ESSO FF1600 and British RAC FF600 Championships.
