Originally a New Zealand car, this 1961 MG Midget is offered for sale for the first time in 8 years and was built by Ray Hartley of Wellington. The MG landed in Australia in 2010 (import papers held) and was initially under custodianship on the Sunshine Coast before being sold to its current owner just south of Port Macquarie. Australian Championship winning car with MA historic log book and C of D. Built by Ian Richards SA 1982 Kevin Lewis VW Golf engine, Koni shocks and Hewland Mk9 gearbox with spare ratios. The Nota Major was the 29th car produced by the Nota factory in Sydney to the order of Mr. Barrie Garner whose intention was to win the prestigious NSW Hillclimb Championships and he succeeded by winning it in 1962.
