It was a project car for the owner and his son to rebuild. For most of it's later life (2002-2016) it was a driver training car for Manadien Racing in France, who was the original buyer of the car in 1989. The Nota Major was the 29th car produced by the Nota factory in Sydney to the order of Mr. Barrie Garner whose intention was to win the prestigious NSW Hillclimb Championships and he succeeded by winning it in 1962.
